Referrer behaviour on wordpress

It’s highly suspicious. My blog got 30 hits yesterday all sent by one referring url that doesn’t go to where it says it does. And I’ve also had some other hits today from the same url. I find it unlikely that these people wanted to read the post, given they didn’t stop to look at anything else. Which makes the referring a bit pointless. Hey-ho.

Well if you get directed here by some odd blog, sorry.

  1. There’s a wordpress forum post thread on this, since this seems to be quite common over the past week (and has happened in spurts over time). Don’t click on the referrers’ URLs as that’s what they want you to do.
